¹⁴ Finally all the trees said to the bramble, “Come, you be king over us.”

¹⁵ So the bramble said to the trees, “If you are sincere about anointing me to be king over you, come, seek refuge in my shade. But if you are not, may fire come out from the bramble and consume the cedars of Lebanon.”
